Congratulations to Messiah On The Frigidaire author John Culbertson whose original play was produced by Dutch Country Players in 2006. We have learned that Messiah On The Frigidaire is going to be published by Samuel French. We are pleased to have played a part in the success of this show and we wish Messiah On The Frigidaire the best as it goes international.

Our Next Production

Children's Theater: The Unfinished Adventures of Stinky Feet Pete

Directed By: Darla Sharp

Show Dates: May 17 and 18 at 1 PM and 4 PM.

This play has it all – the Hero, the Villain, the Damsel in distress. Well, it almost has it all. It still needs to be finished.

Join us for the classic tale of good versus evil, and help our author finish the story as the audience makes the play unfold differently with every decision they make. Help us pick out the costumes, the treasure, and even the ending! Come back and see it again and it’ll be a whole new show. We can’t wait to see you there, so we can find out how this story turns out.

Mainstage: The Foreigner

Directed By: Cameron Purdy

Show Dates: June 13, 14, 15*, 20, 21, 22*, 27, 28, 29*

The scene is a fishing lodge in rural Georgia often visited by "Froggy" LeSeuer, a British demolition expert who occasionally runs training sessions at a nearby army base. This time "Froggy" has brought along a friend, a pathologically shy young man named Charlie who is overcome with fear at the thought of making conversation with strangers. So "Froggy," before departing, tells all assembled that Charlie is from an exotic foreign country and speaks no English. Once alone the fun really begins, as Charlie overhears more than he should—the evil plans of a sinister, two-faced minister and his redneck associate; the fact that the minister's pretty fiancée is pregnant; and many other damaging revelations made with the thought that Charlie doesn't understand a word being said. That he does fuels the nonstop hilarity of the play and sets up the wildly funny climax in which things go uproariously awry for the "bad guys," and the "good guys" emerge triumphant.
